Event: Bike Through the Forest and the Hills Bike Ride 2014

Race Distances: 12, 23, 35 and 46 miles

About the Ride: The 6th annual “Bike through the Forest and the Hills” benefitting the Kingwood Fillies is ready to put you to the test.  Described by previous participants as one of the most beautiful and challenging bike rides anywhere, “Bike through the Forest and the Hills” is the perfect training ride for the BP MS 150.

The ride begins in the small, charming town of Coldspring, Texas, which is located just northeast of Houston off of Highway 59.  You immediately start on hills that you just do not find on other bike rides… hence the title “Bike through the Forest and the Hills.”

The ride then levels out onto clean and open scenic roads into the “Forest.”  Your return dash to the finish brings you face-to-face once again with those challenging hills, perfect preparation for the MS 150 end of Day 1 and the start of Day 2 through Bastrop State Park!

Location: San Jacinto Courthouse 1 State Highway 150 Coldspring, TX
