Date: September 24-25, 2022

Event: Camino205 Bike Ride

Route Distances: 35 – 205 miles

About the Ride:

We are offering sweet loops of three distances – 35, 70, and 105 miles. Rural roads are paved near towns (sadly) so the longer the ride, the more dirt/gravel encountered. All rides are loops, so you have constantly changing scenery and challenges. Boredom and pain are the two great challenges to human happiness. We will not offer you boredom. Pain is up to you. A good saddle and quality cycling togs will help a ton!

All routes provide varied terrain. There are narrow primitive bridges, pot holes, animals, loose gravel and other hazards. There are short hills – some fairly steep – coming out of creeks and such. Riders must use caution and care when crossing creeks – speed is not always your friend in those situations, but discretion is.

Support & Rest Stops:
Rest Stops: There will be multiple rest stop locations provided through our Rest Stop Charity Contest. Water, sports drinks and basic snacks will be available at each stop.

Support: Riders are responsible for providing their own mechanical support throughout each route. If your not sure what you should have, please see the Pre-race Checklist page.

Support Crews: Riders are allowed to have support crews available to help them, but support vehicles must use bypass routes and cannot drive alongside riders on gravel sections. No one wants a big cloud of dust being flung in their face all day!

Friday Packet Pickup: We encourage all riders to pick up their registration packet on Friday night at the start/finish site from 6:00PM – 8:30PM.

Saturday & Sunday Packet Pickup: Race day packet pickup will open at 6am in front of the Oxbow Bakery (which is also right in front of the start/finish. Packet pick up closes after the 35 mile group starts.

Saturday Post Event Festivities:
Starting at 1pm Saturday, there will be live music under the shady creek area behind Oxbow Bakery. Local band BlindPursuit will provide some tunes while you relax by the creek. Food and beer available across the street at the Pint & Barrel Drafthouse. Perhaps even a Pie eating contest?!

Awards – At 3pm we will have our awards ceremony for the top 3 riders in each distance as well as some honorable mentions and prize winners.

Rest Stop Charity Contest Vote – Participants can vote on their favorite rest stop throughout the day. Final votes will be tallied up before 4pm and we will announce the winning organization right before we do the Cantu Raffle drawing.

Cantu Raffle – The carbon wheel raffle drawing will be at 4:15pm to select the winner of the $1700 set of carbon gravel wheels from Cantu Cycling Wheels
