Event: Puddle for the Ducks, A Ducks Unlimited Bike Ride

About the Ride: On Saturday, February 4th, 2012 the FIFTH Annual PUDDLE FOR THE DUCKS bicycle ride benefiting Ducks Unlimited will start at 7:00 A.M. and it will be bigger, better, and more exciting than ever. There will be 25, 45, 37 and 70 mile routes along with entertaining rest stops, duck calling and dog demonstrations at most stops and new reststop sponsors.  The 2012 PUDDLE FOR THE DUCKS ride is destined to be one of the best for the year in Houston.

Event: Golden Girls Gold Rush Cycling Classic 2012

About the Ride: This is the annual fund-raising ride of the Conroe High School Golden Girls’ Dance Team. The scenic 25, 44 & 65 mile routes take you through rolling Texas landscapes with rest stops manned by our dance team members. Home baked goods at our fun, themed rest stops make for a fun-filled ride.

Event: Pedaling the Prairie

Route Distance: Several courses ranging from a 24-mile beginner ride to a 71-mile endurance ride

About the Ride: Pedaling the Prairie is a non-competitive bike ride held annually around the rice fields and prairie between Bellville and Katy, Texas.  All proceeds benefit the athletic department of Faith West Academy.

This year’s ride is on Saturday, February 11, 2012. We will start from the Waller County Fairgrounds, 22000 Fairground Road, Hempstead, Texas 77445 (290 and FM 359).

Ride in comfort knowing that there will be breakpoints every 10 – 15 miles.  Refreshments will be provided at all breakpoints to keep you hydrated and energized.  Your safety and well-being is our major concern, as we will have well planned routes, police escorts through major intersections, and mechanical and medical support at the rest stops.  SAG vehicles and Ride Marshall support also will be included.

The ride travels along several courses ranging from a 24-mile beginner ride to a 71-mile endurance ride. The various routes take you around the Monaville, Pattison, and Bellville areas. You can expect to experience the prairie, rolling meadows, rural flatlands, and some hills close to Bellville.
