About the Ride: The race course begins and ends in Douglassville, a small town west of Texarkana, Texas . The race course is a clockwise 30 mile loop or a clockwise 45 mile loop, rolling to VERY hilly , with smooth roads.

Registration: Ride day registration will begin at 7:00 am at the Ollie Liner Center.
$25 per person registration if pre-registered.
$30 per person beginning at 7am on ride day.
$5 family discount for two or more from same household ($20 per rider if registered by 9/11/10).
$5 bike club discount if for two or more from same club ($20 per rider if registered by 9/11/10)

About the Race:

Hale on Wheels is a fully supported recreational bike ride for road bikes held in Plainview, Hale County, Texas, during the annual “Cowboy Days” celebration. Routes are 21, 32, 48, and 62 miles, all on smooth, flat, lightly traveled or wide shoulder roads. A free nutritious lunch is provided for riders and their families. There are drawings for pre-registered riders for $450.00 in cash and a “rest stop raffle” for all riders for $300.00 cash.

All riders receive a “Hale on Wheels” T-shirt, tote bag,water bottle and other goodies. RV spaces with electrical and water hook-ups are available at the start. Early packet pick-up on Friday, September 17th, from 5 PM-8 PM at the Ollie Liner Center, 2000 South Columbia, Plainview, TX 79072. There are fully supplied rest stops, sag wagons, mechanical and first aid available.

About the ride :

The Houston Cy-Fair Lions present the 11th Annual Lions Biking for Sight Century Bike Ride on Sunday, September 19th, 2010. The ride begins at 8 AM at the Montgomery Athletic Complex Cycle through some of the most beautiful Texas landscape in Montgomery and Grimes counties. The 24 mile route takes you past an exotic animal farm, while the 40, 62 and 100 mile routes take you through the Sam Houston National Forest. The 62 and 100 mile routes have hills, perfect training for the Bike MS: Valero Ride to the River Directions: From Houston, take I-45 north to Conroe. Go west on State Highway 105 across Lake Conroe. Two miles past the intersection of State Highway 105 and FM 149, the athletic Complex will be on the right.
