About the Ride:
GEORGETOWN, Texas –– Rentsch Brewery is the title sponsor with Don’t Fear the Finger Prostate Health for the 2017 Austin Community Ride on September 9.
Beginning from Rentsch Brewery, the ride will be a scenic route through the Georgetown and Austin area with 3 different mileages- approximately 24, 46, and 60 miles for varying riding expertise. Along the path will be rest stops and after the ride beer will be served from local breweries along with a barbecue meal.
Don’t fear the Finger is a registered non-profit that has hosted this annual event for a few years running. In 2016, there were close to 500 riders and that number may almost double for 2017. The profits help to fund prostate exams, increased awareness and the freedom to speak about these issues for “stubborn men” according to their website.
Regular Registration is $45 and same-day registration is $50 and are tax-deductable. Any additional support for the cause will grant the donor merchandise from the event at varying levels from $100 to $8500.
Packet pickup will be Thursday, September 7 before the ride from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
