About the ride:
Enjoy an exhilarating ride through the hills of northeast Washington County while partaking of a visual feast of bucolic scenery and, with the cooperation of Mother Nature, a magnificent of display of wildflowers.
Day-of-ride registration is at Chappell Hill VFD station on FM 1155, just north of US 290. Entrance to the parking is 750 ft. north of US 290/FM 1155 intersection and about 600 ft. prior to the fire station. (Please carpool if possible as parking is limited. No one should park on FM 1155 (Main St.) or in any church parking lot.) Registration begins at 6:00 AM. The ride starts between 8:00 & 9:00 AM, depending on your speed and the route you are riding. Courses will be monitored from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
This is a ride not a race. Each course challenges you with a constant barrage of hills to get your heart racing and test your thighs.
$35 – prior to March 1
$40 – March 1 thru April 5
$50 – April 6-7
The first 200 registrants receive a free “Head for the Hills” t-shirt. (200 FREE SHIRTS REMAIN)
Once paid, registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, even if you don’t ride or the event is canceled due to weather. However, if you qualified for and/or purchased a t-shirt, it(they) will be mailed to you.
Early packet pick-up and registration is available at Northwest Cyclery Thursday, April 5, from 11:00 am – 6:30 pm. (Highway 290 at Jones Road, 713-466-1240) EARLY PICK-UP OF PACKETS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR THOSE REGISTERING AFTER 1PM, WEDNESDAY, April 4.

–Miracle Farm – helping wayward boys
–Camp for All – totally barrier-free recreational facility for the disabled
–Unity Theatre – to support summer youth programs at the theater
–Bread Partners – providing and delivering meals to the needy and elderly
–Scholarships for Brenham high school students
–International clean water projects
