About the Ride:

More info to come, but save the date for this awesome 6 hour Cancer Benefit Race. You can bet the Stairway to Bacon will be back, the party pit will be rocking, and bacon will be served!!!

Big Pig Racing will be hosting our 5th annual Race Against Cancer! This will be a 6-hour endurance mountain bike race on the beautiful East Texas trails inside Tyler State Park. We are also happy to announce that due to the strong impact of cancer in our community and the overwhelming success of last years event, we have founded the Big Pig Cancer Foundation to make all of this years donations tax deductible and help provide an avenue for supporting local families in their time of need.

In light of our communities recent loss, this year we have officially renamed the event in honor of local endurance, mountain bike legend Ray Porter who passed away on December 27th after being diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma on November 13, 2013. Ray and his wife Gina have been active supporters of the Dallas / Ft. Worth mountain bike community for many years and now it is our time to give back and support “his girl”.
