Event: Ride Against Hunger

Route Distances: 30, 40 miles and 100k

About the Ride:

Ride Against Hunger begins with a pro-style, police escort around the Parker County courthouse circle and out of downtown Weatherford. Once on the edge of town you’ll be treated to some of, if not THE, best road biking in the state. That’s because Parker County is known for long country roads that wind past farms, lakes and ranches. You’ll find challenging climbs and exciting descents as well as beautiful hilltop vistas that will make you want to stop, get off your bike and snap a photo or two. Best of all, you won’t have big city or hill country traffic to contend with and each route includes fully stocked reststops with bathroom facilities and plenty of food, water and sports drinks. Check out the maps and cue sheets on the provided links.

100% of the proceeds from Ride Against Hunger go to providing weekend meals for Parker Country school children who are on free and reduced lunch – children who would otherwise be forced to skip meals when they’re away from school. Packs of Love programs provide kids with enough packaged food to get them through the weekend when they leave school on Friday. Ride Against Hunger helps fund the programs. The result? Kids arrive at school on Monday happy and  ready to learn.
