373215_Spindletop Spin Annual Bicycle Ride

Date: June 2, 2018

Event: 12th Annual Spindletop Spin

Route Distances: 13, 29, 52 and 106 miles

About the Ride:

Spindletop Spin is retiring after 12 successful years.

The Spindletop Spin is a fun-filled family oriented event that promotes a healthy lifestyle.

The event takes place on the first Saturday in June. It offers riders the option of four routes covering 13, 29, 52 or 106 miles. Each route features themed rest stops and excellent ride security, supported by police, motorcycles and ride marshals.

The routes provide great options for all levels of cyclists, ranging from the 106 mile route being especially challenging even for the most experienced riders, as the typical southeast Texas June heat and humidity climbs during the ride, to the family and child-friendly 13 mile route that features fun for all ages. Eight rest stops stocked with cold towels, fruit, drinks and snacks provide a welcome relief to hot and tired riders. Anyone who has participated in any of the past rides will confirm that the Spindletop Spin is one of the most anticipated rides in Texas.

The event also includes a lunch, door prizes, and music.
