About the Ride: The Tour de Donut is a fully supported BP MS 150 recommended ride that challenges riders to a doughnut eating contest.  This unique bicycle race takes riders on an appetizing 28-mile journey with rest stops along the way serving as many delectable doughnuts as you can eat.  For EACH tasty doughnut that a rider consumes, the rider is awarded a tempting 5-minute time credit.  Eat enough delicious doughnuts, and you can finish the race before you even started!  In addition to this mouth-watering challenge, riders can also ride the 55-mile course to get in shape for the BP MS 150.  All riders will receive a rider number, official T-shirt and plenty of food and drink at the rest stops.

Directions from IH-35 (North of Austin) go west on FM 1431, 21 miles to Lago Vista. Go left (south) on Lohman’s Ford Road for 3 miles, then right on Boggy Ford for 2 miles, then left on American Drive to Start/Finish.

Same racing schedule for both days. Saturday’s loop is 5.5 miles; Sunday’s loop is 4.4 miles.

Preregistration: Go online to http://www.bikereg.com/, and make sure that you register for the correct day and race category!
Packet Pickup/Late Registration: Friday 2-6pm Nelo’s Cycles, 8108 Mesa Drive (NEW ADDRESS!), Friday night at Lago Vista near Start/Finish, 8pm to midnight. Saturday/Sunday opens at 6:30am at the start/finish area & closes 15 minutes before each race. ($10 one-time surcharge for race day registration covers both days of racing) One day & Annual & New licenses are available at registration for category 4 Women and category 5 Men

About the race: Presented by the Texas A&M Cycling Team

USAC Permit Applied, Texas Cup Division Regional (East)

Course – 14 mile, low traffic, counter-clockwise loop consisting of good roads, “textured” roads, and dirt roads. There are some rollers and a decent finishing hill.
The dirt section tends only to be a pinch-flat threat, but you may want to leave your carbon race wheels at home for this one.
