About the Race:

The Small Texan Tri is an olympic distance race. Swim 1500m in refreshing Boerne City Lake, bike 45k that will provide you with the opportunity to test your legs on typical hill country terrian and finish up with a 10k over flat to rolling hills! The Tiny Texan Tri is a sprint distance triathlon. Perfect for beginner triathletes or speedy veteran’s! 800m swim in refreshing Boerne City Lake, 25k bike course over typical hill country roads with rolling hills and then a 5k run to the finish.

Overall award to top male and female finisher including Master’s. Age group awards given to top three finishers male/female: under19,20-24,25-29,30-34,35-39,40-44,45-49,50-54,55+ Post event BBQ and Award ceremony. Additional meal tickets can be purchased for family for $3.

History: Bikin’ Mike Keel started Tour Dallas because he wanted to encourage people to get up and get active. As the producer of Tour Dallas, Fun Bikin’ Enterprises pays the $100,000+ costs associated with the event. As a native Dallasite who was heavily influenced by his grandmother, Bikin’ Mike believes that he should give back to the community – so with every event he produces, Bikin’ Mike gives back at least 10% of his earnings after expenses.

Benefits:  Tour Dallas provides an opportunity for individuals and families to be active together. This may not seem like much, but in the battle against obesity, research has shown time and again that eating right and being active are the two principle keys to better health. Who’s first? Who cares! This is a TOUR – not a race. No need to get in a hurry and raise the stress levels or miss out on the fun along the way. Plus, with the number of cyclists in our event and the hazards of the roadway, going too fast can cause injury to you and others around you. So relax and enjoy the ride. Then when you get to the Finish Line Celebration, enjoy the fresh, hot pizza from Pizza Patron, a cold bottle of Dasani water and enjoy the day.

What about after the ride?

We’ll have a Finish Line Celebration on City Hall Plaza, so stick around and check out the fun. We’ll have cyclists, face painters, jugglers and clowns, FREE hot pizza from Pizza Patron, beverages, information about area rides and more.
