About the Ride:

Caprock Gravel Grind Returns to Southland!!

The Caprock Gravel Grind is a 50K / 100K gravel race, and 50k Mountain Bike event beginning and ending in Southland, Texas, on the Llano Estacado. Southland is located off Hwy 84 about 28 miles southeast of Lubbock and 18 miles northwest of Post. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 men’s and women’s finishers in each event.

The ride goes along the scenic caprock escarpment, through diverse and challenging terrain. The course is primarily on gravel roads, which have very little traffic, and the area is remote. Don’t be surprised to see local wildlife, including deer, wild turkey, porcupines, and the occasional rattlesnake.

The event will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023!

-Post-ride meal
-Other items that we promised to keep secret. You’ll just have to be here to see.
Be prepared to be self-supported on this gravel event. However, there will be a sweep of all courses. There will also be checkpoints on the course, which will have water and limited amenities.

The event will be held rain or shine. No refunds unless the event is canceled in its entirety.
